A New Adventure begins!
Hi, all,Flat Salley here. I'm a friend of Flat Stanley, and since he's apparently jumped off on another adventure, I get to go traveling in his place. Wa-hoo!!
Oh, sorry -- you're not familiar with Stanley? Let me give you the quick scoop....
Stanley was a normal boy like any other, when he was squashed by a falling bulletin board. That might seem to be a bad thing, but because he's so flat, he can mail himself to anywhere in the world! Some schoolteachers have asked their students to create their own Flat Stanleys, and mail them to people they know, around the world. Then the students can learn about the geography and cultures of all the places Stanley gets to travel.
Now to me.....
Last year, a student in Iowa, named Natalie, created a Flat Stanley and sent him to her cousin in Colorado. Only trouble is, the address he was sent to was no longer occupied by Natalie's cousin. Someone named Pam lived there. She saw that the envelope wasn't junk mail ;) and decided to open it, in case it was important. And it was! She took Flat Stanley on a few adventures around Denver, and sent him back to Natalie.
This year, when it was time for Natalie to send Stanley out on another adventure. he was nowhere to be found. I'm sure he's slipped into the mail and is off exploring Zimbabwe or Greece or somewhere equally as exciting. So Natalie decided to send me, instead. She sent me to Pam, since Stanley had such a nice time there last year. Pam received me in the mail this week, and has helped me set up this blog to tell you (and Natalie!!) all about the adventures we're having.
So there you go. I'm in Centennial, Colorado, and ready for our next adventure.
Farewell, friends!
Flat Salley
